Pilgrims of Hope as a national organization exists to alleviate suffering, poverty, and oppression by helping people build secure, productive and just communities. Our endeavors are to help people turn the crises they confront into the opportunities they deserve. And driven by local needs, our programs provide communities in the toughest and hard to reach places with the tools and support they need to transform their own lives. We are both a humanitarian and developmental organization. We place special focus on working alongside poor women and Youths because, equipped with the proper resources, women have the power to help whole families and entire communities escape poverty. Women are at the heart of POH’s community-based efforts to improve Basic Education, prevent the spread of disease through Community Health activities and integration of WaSH facilities in the communities while increasing access to clean Water, Sanitation and Hygiene, focusing on Nutrition programs and expanding economic opportunity through FSL activities and protecting natural resources. We also deliver emergency aid to survivors of conflict and natural disasters, and helps people rebuild their lives through peaceful cohesion while integrating GBV in all these sectors.
